Another new multi-million-pound care home by Wynbrook has been handed over to operators Rotherwood Care in Shropshire following the completion of its construction work.

Nottingham-based Wynbrook built the new facility within the grounds of Roden Hall which already had an existing care home within the old hall on site but, was struggling to meet modern care standards.

The new care home, financed by Target Fund Managers and also named Roden Hall, was officially opened on 28 June 2019 and has been designed to meet the latest standards including specialist facilities for dementia care.  The development provides 66 en-suite bedrooms/suites along with a cinema / events room with an outside glazed veranda, hairdressing salon, dining areas and bar, activity room, reception area and extensive landscaped gardens.  A breath-taking feature of the development are the beautiful architect designed picture windows providing extensive views for residents over the surrounding countryside.

Once completed, the residents from the old hall were transferred smoothly into the new building and the reactions to their new home have been more than favourable.

Steve Day, Construction Director of Wynbrook said: “This was an excellent development to work on. We were conscious of having to work in a live environment alongside the existing care home and we worked closely with the operators and staff to ensure disruption was kept to a minimum.”

John Fennell of Rotherwood Care is extremely proud of the new facility and hopes to develop the site further to provide additional accommodation options.

Roden Hall is another development in a long line of successful care home projects undertaken by Wynbrook who are becoming renown for ‘raising the bar’ on care home accommodation.
